Boeing CH-47 Chinook Helicopter Skin Plane Tag / Planetags

Description

This planetag is genuine skin from a Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter.  The pictures are of this actual Chinook.
This Chinook was first delivered to the US Army in September, 1968 as a C Model serial #68-15814.  At some point, it was assigned to AQTD (airworthiness  qualification test directorate) at Edwards Air Force Base.  It was used in development work on helicopter icing spray systems.  In 1991, it was converted to a D Model and given serial #91-00234.  It was assigned to the Army National Guard in Stockton, California.  It accumulated 918.1 hours as a D Model and 4,124.1 total aircraft hours.  The CH-47 is among the heaviest lifting western helicopters and as well as one of the fastest.
